The Pacific Southwest District was formed on July 2, 1930 as Southern California District , separating it from California and the Nevada District. District offices are located in Irvine, California. Delegates from each session meet at a convention every three years to elect the district president, vice president, circuit counselor, board of directors, and other officers. Reverend Dr. Larry Stoterau has been president of the district since September 2000, and was re-elected for a fourth term in 2009. The 42nd Regular Convention was held on 28-30 June 2009 in Irvine with the theme "Inviting Conversation - Empowering Words", from John 17 : 20. The 43rd Regular Convention is held 27-29 June 2012 in Irvine with the theme "Proclaims the Mystery of God".
