King's Academy is a National Blue Ribbon school, preparatory college, pre-school, elementary, and secondary Christian located in West Palm Beach, Florida. Schools serve families with students from the ages of one to twelve on campuses located in Palm Beach County. Founded in 1970, run by an independent governor board.

Histori

The King's Academy was founded by a group of Christian business leaders in August 1970 and opened at the Belvedere Baptist Church campus in West Palm Beach, Florida. In 1971, the school bought a 20-acre campus on Cherry Road where it remained until the 2004 school year. In August 2005, The King's Academy moved to a 60-acre location on Belvedere Road and Sansbury's Way in Palm Beach County, Florida. In 2010, the school opened a second high school location on Caribbean Avenue in Clewiston, Florida. By 2017, this high school is sold to Clewiston Christian School.

Since 1970, four presidents have supervised the school's daily operations: Kye Harris (1970-74), M. Nelson Loveland (1974-99), Jeffrey M. Loveland (1999-2016), and Randal L. Martin (2016-74) now). Since the beginning of school, six seats of the governor's council have served as: M. Nelson Loveland (1970-74), Lloyd Prouty (1974-75), Stanley F. Frederick (1975-87), Gene Martin (1987-93), David Fiebig ( 1993-2006), and Clyde S. Meckstroth (2006-present).

2016 : The school children's golf team won a national championship at Antigua National High School in Scottsdale, Arizona; beat the Utah state championship team with 11 blows, the Arizona champion with 15 strokes, and the Illinois winner with 25 strokes.

2017 : The school choir and dance students were selected to perform for President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence at their inaugural concert.

Academic profile

The King's Academy offers college preparatory courses for students from preschool through 12th grade. King's Academy is fully accredited by four accrediting bodies: the Association of Colleges and Schools of South, Advanced, the Association of International Christian Schools and the Florida College and Collegiate Schools of Florida. The latest school re-accreditation study was completed in 2013 and resulted in the extension of school accreditation until 2018.

High School

The King's Academy secondary school educates students from grades 7 to 12. Primary school

The King's Academy elementary school educates students from pre-Kindergarten to grade 6. The average grade of elementary school students in SD is ranked above 15 percent of national private schools for 2013 and 2014 academic standard tests; qualifying schools as Blue Ribbon Elementary School according to the US Department of Education. As a result, the school was named the National Blue Ribbon School 2014. Athletics

King's Academy Lions athletics program competes in the following sports: Baseball, Basketball, Bowling, Cheerleading, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Lacrosse, Pool, Soccer, Softball, Tennis, Track & amp; Field, and Volleyball.

As a full member of the Athletic Association of High School Florida (FHSAA), the school area of ​​approximately 50 boys and girls teams in 23 FHSAA-sanctioned vocal sports. In 2014, The King's Academy joins Southeast Southeast Football Conference just for football.

Athletic facilities

The King's Academy soccer, football and lacrosse teams, play at home on campus at Kahlert Stadium, a natural grass facility with seating for 1,500 fans. Lion and Lion Lion basketball and ball team competed in the M. Nelson Loveland Athletic Center gymnasium, which has a game field and two training grounds and has seating for up to 800 spectators. The King's Academy is located at about 60 acres in the northeast corner of Belvedere Road and Sansbury's Way in Palm Beach County, Florida. In 2010, The King's Academy set up an Internet-based school for junior and senior high school students called The King's Academy Online. The online program offers approximately 140 courses, with advanced placement and double enrollment credit courses from Christian institutions including Indiana Wesleyan University and Taylor University.

During the 2012-13 school year, two students of The King's Academy Online, each in grades 6 and 8, completed a 67,000-mile journey to 50 US states and five of Canada's 10 provinces when registering. Their achievements are featured on the Today show.

Publications

The King's Academy publishes a year-long elementary school (EL) and high school (HS) produced by students (both named The Scepter ) each year, the student's monthly newspaper ( Roar < , previously The Lion Ledger and The Scroll ) and semi-annual magazines ( The Chronicle ).
