Martin Martin "Martyn" Lawrence Bullard is a British interior designer in Los Angeles, a writer, and a television personality. Named as one of the world's top interior designers by Architectural Digest, Bullard stars in both Bravo Million Dollar Decorators and Channel 4 Hollywood Me series.

Born in Lewisham, London, Bullard began his career in design as a teenager. Her father, an actor who became a businessman, would accompany her son to Greenwich Antiques Market in South London, where she rented a kiosk. At the age of 13, Bullard began buying and selling what he called "oddments," and learned to identify valuable or well-designed decorator items. When he was 16, he has developed customers from prominent merchants and collectors, including key buyers for Ralph Lauren Antiques, who sent Bullard's piece to the United States to dress the windows on Madison Avenue and Rodeo Drive boutiques.
At 17, Bullard decided to pursue a career as an actor, and used his earnings to attend Lee Strasberg Actors Studio in Covent Garden, London. While at school, Bullard continued to buy and sell antiques and raise enough money to move to Los Angeles in 1994.

Interior Design
After moving to Los Angeles, Bullard was instrumental in several roles, including part as a child toy Eartha Kitt in the movie Ed Wood, I Woke Up Early The Day I Died. One film producer visited Bullard's home, and, impressed by his decor, invited Bullard to decorate his office. From there, Bullard was hired to decorate the office and home of Liz Heller, the Capitol Records executive, and was eventually asked to help create Heller's marriage to producer John Bard Manulis. As a guest at the event, he sits next to Cheryl Tiegs, who became his first celebrity client. Together, Tiegs and Bullard transformed Bel Air Tiegs' house into an "inspired Bali pavilion", featured in publications around the world, and appeared on the cover of more than a dozen magazines. After the success of Cheryl Tiegs home, Bullard began building celebrity clients. Clients initially included Rebecca Romijn and John Stamos, Christina Aguilera, William H. Macy and Felicity Huffman, Eva Mendes, Patti LaBelle, and Edward Norton. Later, he decorated the house for Cher, Ellen Pompeo, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, Aaron Sorkin, Kid Rock, and Tommy Hilfiger, among others. Though famous for its upscale housing design, Bullard also works on commercial properties, including Colony Palms Hotel and Jimmy Choo boutiques in London and Osaka, Japan. Bullard is currently designing several luxury resorts and restaraurants, including ChÃÆ' Â ¢ teau GÃÆ'¼tsch Hotel in Lucerne, Switzerland, and Red O Restaurant in Newport Beach, California.
In 2010, Bullard won the "Oscar of the World of Interior Design," Designer of the Andrew Martin International Award of the Year. In 2011, Rizzolli published Bullard's book, Live, Love & amp; Decorate, that achieved the third reprint in the first 16 weeks of its release, and topped the best-selling list in the interior design genre. The book features 16 Bullard projects, including Cher's 'fantasy villa' and the $ 30 million Tamara Mellon Manhattan penthouse. The book also includes Bullard's home in the Los Angeles Whitley Heights neighborhood, formerly owned by Rudolph Valentino, Gloria Swanson, and William Faulkner.

Bullard's style has been described as "Hollywood's glamor met ethnic exotica," and "eclectic, luxurious, sophisticated, comfortable and fearless." He has been renowned for his "use of texture, color and extreme attention to detail," and "command proportions and scale strong, dexterous hands with color and patterns, and exceptional global sensibility.
Television
Bullard is a star of the Million Dollar Decorators, Bravo docu series that airs in 62 countries. Check out the world of high-end interior designers, Million Dollar Decorators aired in 2011. In a 2012 interview, Bullard, whose performances on the show often featured celebrity clients, said "Celebrities live their lives in. Therefore, it's important for their home to be a sanctuary - a place for complete relaxation and privacy.One of my great excitement with my celebrity clients over the years is their desire to live up to their fantasies, be it an Indian palace in Hollywood, a Tuscan villa in Malibu or the English country cottage in New York City I am here to be their enabler and make this fantasy a decorative reality. "
Bullard also starred in the Hollywood Me, a series that brings unsuspecting Brits to Los Angeles for a personal overhaul while Bullard redecorates their home. Hollywood Me, won the National Reality Television Award in its inaugural season, launched in the UK in 2012 and will air in South Africa and Australia in 2013. She often appears on The Talk i>, and in the Hollywood at Home design segment on This morning on ITV. Bullard describes himself in The Young and the Restless (2008 and 2012), and on the television series Jane By Design (2012). She also appeared at TLC's Material World in 2008.
Other companies
In 2010, Bullard introduced a collection of fabrics he designed to work with Schumacher, an upscale interior designer; she won Best Of the Best Fabric Designer Award in 2011 and 2012 for a collection, featuring prints and wovens derived from textiles, motifs and antique patterns. Bullard has licensing agreements for porcelain, crystal, carpets, tiles, floors, wallpapers and fabrics with luxury design firms, and has launched its own line of furniture, fabrics and wallpaper collections, as well as home fragrances, jewelry and clothing.
Bullard is the face of Vi-Spring Beds, a British luxury brand, and a spokesman for Jaguar cars.
Philanthropy
Bullard is actively involved with amfAR, Colon Sharon Osbourne Cancer Program, P.S. Art, and DIFFA (Design Industry Foundation Fighting AIDS). In 2013, Bullard was recruited by Designer Dollhouse Showcase to design a dollhouse, which is auctioned to benefit UCLA Children's Discovery and Innovation Institute at Mattel Children's Hospital.
