Kelley School of Business (KSB) is a graduate and postgraduate business school at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, USA. By 2017, approximately 7,500 full-time undergraduate and graduate students are enrolled on the campus of Bloomington, as well as 1,740 students on the Indianapolis campus. In addition, over 800 students study for a bachelor's degree through the online MBA and MS school program through "Kelley Direct". Many publications have placed the Kelley School of Business among the top in the country and the world.

Histori

The school was founded as "School of Commerce and Finance" from Indiana University in 1920. It was renamed "School of Business Administration" in 1933 and "School of Business" in 1938. In 1997 it was named "Kelley School of Business "after his alumnus, EW Kelley, chairman of the Steak n Shake Company, who contributed $ 23 million.

He originally lived in the Commerce Building built in 1923 (William A. Rawles Hall since 1971), moved to the Business and Economy Building in 1940 (called Woodburn Hall since 1971) and finally to the Business School building today in 1966.

Although they have held classes in Indianapolis since 1961, it was only in the Autumn 1974 Kelley Business School officially expanded to Indianapolis. Be in the Business/Spea building on the IUPUI campus. During the expansion, it was said that Kelley School of Business was "one school, one faculty, one curriculum in two locations." The Dean's office is located on the campus of Bloomington, but two positions, Executive Associate Dean - Indianapolis and Associate Dean of Indianapolis Research and Programs, were created to lead the Kelley School of Business curriculum, faculty and programs at IUPUI.

Completed in 2003, the $ 33 million Graduate and Executive Education Center provides a state-of-the-art learning facility for Kelley School graduates and executive education students and houses some of the country's top-ranked research programs and research centers. Featuring elegant limestone and oak architecture, this building provides students and faculty with every technological advantage imaginable and connects with undergraduate facilities through a two-story limestone pathway.

In 2003, Kelley School partnered with Mir-Miracle Company Scotts to launch Bloomington Brands, a unique brand management study program for undergraduate and MBA students. The participating students manage the Osmocote Plant Food brand under contract from Scotts. Bob Stohler, a former Scotts Executive, instructed and supervised the students. Students manage all marketing variables for the Osmocote brand, including selection of product formulas, sizes, packages, and prices, as well as the development of marketing strategies, advertising, purchasing and media selection, promotional activities, and consumer research. Student brands work closely with various business functions in Scotts.

In Summer 2005, while Dean Dan Smith was appointed to be the new school dean, replacing Dean Dan Dalton who resigned in 2004.

In a ceremony on October 21, 2005, Kelley School renamed the Executive Education Center and Graduate School to honor William J. Godfrey, a successful alumnus and entrepreneur who left the $ 25 million land.

On March 30, 2012, Kelley School renamed the Hodge Hall Graduate Hall to honor the talented James R. Hodge $ 15 million to help renovate and expand the facility. The $ 60 million expansion and renovation of Hodge Hall broke out in May 2012 and opened in autumn 2014. The Eli Lilly Foundation also donated a large sum.

In June 2012, Dean Dan Smith resigned as dean of the school after serving as dean for seven years to take on a new position as president and CEO of the Indiana Foundation Foundation. On May 9, 2013, while Dean Idalene Kesner was announced as the school's new dean. Dean Kesner was the first woman to serve as the dean of the Kelley School of Business.

Graduate School

The Kelley School of Business degree program has been ranked the top 15 in the country for over fifteen years and the top 10 in the last six, in various publications.

In the latest rankings, Bloomberg Businessweek ranked Kelley School of Business 1 among the general business schools. Overall, it was ranked 4th in the country for undergraduate B.S. in Business from over 100 top business schools in America. In 2015, Kelley is also ranked 4th. Rank 2016 for "The Best Undergraduate Business School" by Poet & amp; Quants ranked Kelley School of Business 7 in the state and 2 in public schools. Kelley also ranks 2nd in academic excellence. In 2017, Poets & amp; Quants ranked Kelley 6 in the country, and 2 in terms of work. It lists the acceptance rate of about 37% and the average ACT and SAT of 31 and 1441 respectively. Kelley School of Business is ranked 11th overall for Business Undergraduate Programs based on US News & amp; World Report . In a 2016 survey of more than 1,000 recruiters by Bloomberg Businessweek, undergraduate schools were ranked 4th in the country, ranking first among state universities.

In 2017, The Economist puts Kelley's Master of Business Administration (MBA) program # 22 in the world (ranked 17th in the US). The Kelley MBA is ranked 16th on Business Week in 2014; ranked fifth for the regional MBA program by the Wall Street Journal in 2007. Poet & amp; Quants ranked Kelley's MBA program 5 in the country in producing Fortune 500 CEO. Bloomberg Businessweek rated the full-time MBA program at # 15 in the 2012 edition, and at # 4 among all public universities. US News & amp; World Report ranked Kelley MBA 22 in the country, 7 among the general business schools. Kelley's top-ranked MBA program for full-time residency students has been cited in Business Week as one of the company's favorite recruits seeking general managers, marketing talents, and financial graduates.

US News 2017 & amp; World Report ranked the # 1 Kelley Online Graduate Business Program in the country, and online MBA # 3.

The quality of teaching in the core classes has been ranked # 1 in the country by Princeton Review and Business Week. The school's doctoral program has contributed to teaching and research as a whole by sending over 1,000 doctoral graduates to key positions in industry and academia.

Entrepreneurship Concentration Graduates have been ranked first for 3 consecutive years. At Global Business Schools 2010 QS 2010, the school is indexed as the 24th best business school in North America. Fortune Small Business magazine enrolled the Kelley MBA and undergraduate program in entrepreneurship # 1 among all public universities in the country in 2009.

Report 2017 by Crist | Kolder Associates enrolls the fifth Indiana University in producing the current Fortune 500 CEO and the first to produce Fortune 500 CFOs among public institutions.

Kelley School of Business is one of the 25th elite of internationally accredited business programs by AACSB International - Association for Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Kelley is also one of only 180 institutions accredited by AACSB in Accounting.

The Godfrey Graduate and Executive Education Center

The Godfrey Center has 180,000 sq ft (17,000m 2 ) classrooms and offices for use by graduate students, corporate recruiters, executive visitors and administrators. It houses administration offices for the Master of Business Administration program, Kelley Executive Partners, Kelley Direct, Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and graduates of accounting and information systems programs.

The Kelley School renames the Graduate and Executive Education Centers in honor of William J. Godfrey, a successful alumnus and entrepreneur who has left a $ 25 million estate.

The building has classrooms and other facilities that maximize student-faculty interaction in collaborative settings. The most cable building on the campus of Bloomington, it features direct and wireless connectivity that will help students both inside and outside the classroom. Other special features include a trading room, which includes sources of information comparable to most Wall Street companies, allowing students and faculty to monitor markets, develop financial products, and engage in trading activities with other partners.
