Glenwood Razeem Coffee, Jr (born May 1, 1987) is an American running footballer who is currently a free agent. He was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the third round of the 2009 NFL Draft and played a season before retiring from football in 2010 and serving in the Army from 2013 to 2017. Coffee out of retirement and restored by the NFL on April 21, 2017. He plays football at the University of Alabama.

College career
New student
In the Coffee student season in Alabama, he appeared in all twelve games. On 17 September, he rushed for a 75-yard high season on 15 attempts in a 37-14 win over South Carolina. He did not see any significant action throughout the rest of the season, as he was a reserve for starter Kenneth Darby while sharing his time with Jimmy Johns. In a homecoming match of Alabama versus Utah State, he scored his first goal at college on a 9-yard reception from quarterback John Parker Wilson.
In its first season, Coffee rushed 179 yards in 48 trials. He also caught eight bait for 91 yards, including one goal.
Redshirt Sophomore
After redshirting the sophomore season on campus, Coffee returned in the 2007 season under new head coach Nick Saban. In that season, he divides his time as early as walking back with new student Terry Grant. In the season opener versus Western Carolina, Coffee rushed nine times to 76 yards and one goal in a 52-6 win. In this season's homecoming match, he made his first 100 yard match with a 30-24 victory over Houston. In total, he rushed for 121 yards on 30 attempts and one touchdown, as well as catching a pass for six yards. However, he did not collect any statistics in four of Alabama's last five games. Alabama earned an appearance at Independence Bowl 2007 versus Colorado. Coffee brought the ball 19 times for 72 yards in a 30-24 win.
Coffee completed his redshirt sophomore season with 545 yards at 129 brings, scoring four goals. He also captured 18 tickets for 142 yards.
Redshirt Junior
In the 2008 season, Coffee was the starter in all 14 games, despite time along with two other running defenders, Roy Upchurch and Mark Ingram Jr. The first coffee with a 100-yard performance rushed to come in the fourth game of the season in a 49-14 Arkansas victory. He brought the ball ten times for 162 yards and two goals, including his 87-yard career. In the following game, Coffee again scored twice in a 41-30 defeat over Georgia # 3, finishing the match with 23 bring for 86 yards. The best game of the coffee career came the following week in a 17-14 victory over Kentucky, as he ran as far as 218 yards in 25 trials, including a 78-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. In its best statistical season in Alabama, Coffee ran for 1,383 yards and ten goals, while averaging 5.9 yards per carry. With its seasonal appearance, Coffee was named for the Associated Press All-SEC team. On January 9, 2009, Coffee announced he would leave his senior year and declare for the 2009 NFL Draft. He was represented by sports agency Todd Crannell of Q2 Sports & Entertainment.

Professional career
San Francisco 49ers
Coffee is compiled in the third round of the NFL Draft 2009 by selecting the 74th overall by the San Francisco 49ers. He was used primarily as a backup for the Pro Bowl running back to Frank Gore.
Retired
After attending the OTA minicamp, and a two week training camp, Coffee suddenly announced on August 13 that he will retire right before the start of preseason NFL 2010. Head coach Mike Singletary stated that the sixth round picked Anthony Dixon and veteran Michael Robinson would compete for a back spot second and that Coffee's departure will not be a nuisance to the team. However, on August 16, 49ers signed veteran free agent Brian Westbrook as backup back to a one-year deal. 49ers could move to cover $ 621,000 bonus signing of $ 828,000 Coffee.
Coffee plans to return to the University of Alabama to complete its degree in consumer affairs, focusing on graduate schools. Coffee confirms that the reason he retired was that his heart was never in football and that he believed God wanted him to take another path.
Back
On April 21, 2017, Coffee was officially restored by the NFL and later released by the San Francisco 49ers who still own the players' rights. Coffee announced its intention to play in The Spring League Showcase on July 15, 2017.
Military services
Coffee was later enrolled in the US Army in February 2013 to become a paratrooper.
In June 2013, Coffee graduated from the United States Air Force School. He was trained as a paratrooper, and assigned to the Ranger Training 6th Battalion. He reached the Specialist (E-4) rank and served as an air infantry.
