Classmate is an Indian student stationery product brand. ITC Limited (formerly Indian Tobacco Company) launched its Classmate brand in 2003 under the category of notebooks. Next, Classmate adds a pen, pencil, mechanical pencil and geometric box to its portfolio.

Notebook
The Classmate notebook consists of many variants including notebooks, long books, handbooks, picture books and reminder pads, with themes on the cover and related information in them.
The Classmate ITC Notebook uses Ozone-treated, Elemental Chlorine Free Paper that uses ozone paper treatment, leading to better paper quality and shelf life.
Pens
Classmate pens are pens, gel pens, and roller pens.
Pencil
Various Classmate pencils include wooden pencils and mechanics. Various wooden pencil variants include: HB Bonded Lead, HB Jet Black, Carbon Black, 2B Trilobe and Rubber Tipped.
These pencils come with different features, clicking mechanisms, and several different grips.

Classmate Idea for Indian challenge
Classmates launch a program called Classmate Ideas for Indian challenges . This program is part of the company's hundred year initiative. The national program will invite young people's ideas that have the potential to transform India. Classmate Ideas for India challenges its plan to reach 2.5 million students in 30 cities, 500 schools and 200 colleges across the country. The CII-ITC Excellence Center for Sustainable Development, WWF India, Faith Tony Blair Foundation, Janaagraha and Akshaya Patra Foundation are program partners for the event. The program will encourage finalists by apprenticeship with relevant program partners, in addition to cash prizes and other awards. In addition, the top five winners will be sent to a one-week international study tour.
Discussions
ITC Classmate held a discussion on the subject entitled Principals, Parents and Children: Building a Mutuality Relationship. The panelists agreed on the need for greater student involvement in what was taught to them, as well as methods of inculcating education.
Each Classmate notebook carries the ITC Corporate Social Responsibility message behind it. For every four Classmate notebooks purchased, the ITC donates INR 1 to its supportive social development initiatives, among other projects, basic education.
Young Friends Companion Contest
The Classmate Young Authors Contest 2004 (CYAC 2004) was initiated by ITC Limited to provide a platform for novice writers among students to showcase their talents and the opportunity to develop them through interaction with some of the country's leading literary icons.
Classmate Spell Bee
Spellbee's classmates have completed nine seasons so far and are considered the biggest spelling competitions in India. It aims to present the best spellers together from every part of the nation that focuses on honing Indian students' spelling skills in a fun and educative way. Last season's winners received a 2 lakh cash prize along with a sponsored trip to Washington DC, USA, to watch Scripps National Spelling Bee 2015 with parents.

WWF-India and ITC Ltd. promote responsible forestry
It was first launched in 2009. ITC Classmate was the first Indian company to join the Global Forest and Trade Network (GFTN). Paperkraft Premium Business Paper is a product of ITC Limited and is the greenest paper factory in the country. ITC contributes to saving the environment: through ozone & amp; ECF technology to eliminate toxicity in industrial waste released by them into the ecosystem, and on a large scale through reforestation and water conservation by planting 8 trees for each tree used, which has already greened more than 1 lakh hectare since 2008.
