Histori
After integration, North Myrtle Beach High School was created from Wampee-Little River High School (white school) and Chestnut High School (black school). Both schools include attendance zones including Atlantic Beach, Little River, Longs, and newly established North Myrtle Beach. School mascots, "Heads", and color schools were selected by a committee consisting of one member from each of the six classes from the original two schools. The previous mascots were "Indian" (Wampee), and "Braves" (Chestnut). The blue and gold colors of the school are a combination of blue and white high school Wampee High School, as well as gold and Chestnut High School trees.
