Chyler Leigh West (pronounced KY -l? r , born Potts ; April 10, 1982), known professionally as Chyler Leigh , is an American actress, singer, and model. He is known for portraying Janey Briggs in the comedy film No Other Teen Films (2001), Lexie Gray in the ABC drama series of medical Gray's Anatomy (2007-2012), and Alex Danvers in DC Comic superhero series Supergirl (2015-present).

Leigh was born in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is the daughter of Yvonne Norton and Robert Potts. Leigh grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where her parents run a weight loss business.
