Will Espero (born November 6, 1960) is an American politician who has served as state senator for the state of the 19 states of Hawaii? I am since 2002. He is a member of the Democratic Party.

Early life and education
Born on November 6, 1960, at the United States Navy base in Yokosuka, Japan, Espero is the son of Victor and Paulina Espero. Originally from Bacnotan, La Union, Philippines, Victor serves in the United States Navy for 21 years while his wife Paulina is from Santiago, Ilocus Sur, Philippines, retired as a licensed practice nurse. As an entrepreneur, Victor and Paulina also operate restaurants, catering services, and daycare.
Growing up in military families, Espero lives in Vallejo, California, Jacksonville, Florida, Athens, Georgia, Norfolk, Virginia, Oak Harbor, Washington, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Naples, Italy, and Yokosuka, Japan.
Espero attended Seattle University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management in 1982. Later that year, he moved to Hawaii? I and set up a house. He works in the finance and banking industries, property management, local home development, and the Coalition for OTCs? I. A few years later in 1987, he entered politics, working with former mayor Frank Fasi and his administration as the City Executive Secretary and the Honolulu County Environmental Commission.

Political career
From 1987 to 1994, Will Espero was appointed Mayor Frank Fasi. He is the executive secretary of the Environmental Commission responsible for the Oahu Environmental Council.
In December 1999, Espero was appointed to the Hawaii State Council of Representatives by Governor Ben Cayetano to fill the void left by the resignation of then deputy Paul Oshiro. In 2002, he ran a successful campaign and was elected to the Hawaii State Senate. He represents District 20, which runs from Waipahu down to? Ewa Beach, where Espero lives. After reapportionment of Hawaii district? I, Espero became senator for District 19 which now includes' Ewa Beach, Ocean Pointe, 'Ewa by Gentry, Iroquois Point, and part of' Ewa Villages.
Espero is currently Vice President of Hawaii? I Senate. He previously served as Majority Floor Leader and Chairman of the Committee on Public Safety, Intergovernmental and Military Affairs (PGM). He is a member of both the Committee on Transport and International Relations (TIA) and Ways and Facilities (WAM).
