Histori
In 2001, HealthSouth sold its occupational drug division to US HealthWorks for an undisclosed amount. The deal, reported to have reached $ 30 million, added 99 centers, more than doubled the USS HealthWorks operation and made it one of the largest providers networks in the United States along with Concentra.
In 2003, US HealthWorks agreed to pay $ 900,000 to the California Insurance Department after a three-year investigation of 25 facilities in California. It is alleged that US HealthWorks will not necessarily file a "First Doctor Injury Report" as required by California law, which will distort the risk experience used by the insurer to calculate premiums. Under the agreement, US HealthWorks does not recognize the obligations.
US HealthWorks moved its headquarters from Alpharetta, Georgia, to Valencia, California, in November 2007.
Dignity Health obtains HealthWorks USA in 2012 with plans to expand US HealthWorks operations nationwide. The financial terms are not disclosed. Since being acquired by Dignity Health, US HealthWorks has acquired dozens of urgent health and care centers across the United States.
