Marcedes Alexis Lewis (born May 19, 1984) is a tight end of American football for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). She plays college football for the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), earning an All-American honor consensus, and is recognized as a top-tier college end. He was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the first round of the NFL Draft 2006.

Initial years
Lewis was born in Los Alamitos, California. He graduated from Long Beach Polytechnic College in Long Beach, California, where he played high school soccer for Jackrabbits Long Beach Poly. In 2001, he competed in a national television game against De La Salle of Concord, California. As a senior, Lewis is named the All-American High School parade magazine and is considered the top prospect of all major recruitment services.

College career
Lewis attended UCLA, and played for the UCLA Bruins football team from 2002 to 2005. In 49 games with the Bruins, he started 32 times. He was ranked ninth in the overall school career acceptance list and first amongst the tight ends with 126 receptions, holding UCLA's strict final record all the time with 1,571 yards receiving and 21 goals. As a senior in 2005, Lewis was the first team of All-Pacific-10 selection, the All-American team's first consensus, and won the John Mackey Award, awarded each year to the tight top end in college football.

Professional career
Jacksonville Jaguars
Lewis was picked by the Jacksonville Jaguars by picking overall 28 in the first round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He played college football by running back Maurice Jones-Drew at UCLA who was also selected on the first day by Jaguars. In July 2006, Lewis signed a five-year contract, $ 7.5 million which included $ 4.9 million guaranteed.
Lewis initially did not meet expectations in terms of ability to catch feedback with 91 receptions through three seasons. However, he impressed the coach with his blocking ability. He was often used as a blocker during the 2008 NFL season because part of the offensive line was injured. Lewis has been active in his hometown community in Long Beach, California.
In 2010, Lewis matched Jaguars singles event closing record for a total of 10 and was selected for his first Pro Bowl. He has previously been named as an alternative to Pro Bowl 2009.
Due to part of the 2011 NFL locking, Jaguar put the franchise label on Lewis on February 24, 2011. On August 5, 2011 after a brief training camp survived, Lewis signed a five-year contract reported to be worth about $ 35 million ($ 17) million guaranteed).
On March 9, 2016, Lewis signed a three-year, $ 12 million contract to stay with Jaguar. He was placed on an injured reserve on 21 November 2016 after suffering a calf strain on Sunday 11.
On March 20, 2018, Lewis was released by Jaguars after 12 seasons with the team.
Green Bay Packers
On May 24, 2018, Green Bay Packers signed Lewis to a one-year contract, $ 2.1 million which included a $ 500,000 signing bonus.
