Long Beach Memorial Medical Center is a hospital in Long Beach, California. This is the main hospital of MemorialCare Health System.
Founded as Seaside Hospital in 1907. It was established as a Seaside Memorial Hospital on June 23, 1937. In 1960, it moved to its present location. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission.
The Long Beach Memorial is one of only 3 hospitals in California with 320 Slice CT Scanners and technologies and prevention programs such as the Electromagnetic Navigation Bronchoscope (ENB) and the Interventional Neuroradiology Division. "Center of Excellence" includes the MemorialCare Heart and Vascular Institute, the MemorialCare Todd Cancer Institute, the MemorialCare Rehabilitation Institute, the MemorialCare Orthopedic Institute, the MemorialCare Neuroscience Institute, the MemorialCare Joint Replacement Center, the Stroke Program and the Emergency Department and the Trauma Center.
Miller Children's Hospital is located on the campus of Long Beach Memorial Medical Center.

History
The Long Beach Memorial was first established as Seaside Hospital in 1907, then incorporated as a Seaside Memorial Hospital on June 23, 1937. In 1960, it moved to its present location. In April 2012, Susan Melvin, D.O., professor of clinical at UCI-School of Medicine and Western University of Health Sciences, took the position of Chief Medical Officer.

The first hospital received a Magnet title by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in 2013 and back in 2018.
In a 2017 report card from Leapfrog Group, a nonprofit group supported by companies that focus on quality health care, Long Beach Memorial accepts B.
In US News & amp; 2017; Best ranked ranking of World Report, Long Beach Memorial is ranked 7th in Los Angeles County.
Union
The registered nurse LBMMC has been represented by the California Nurse Association since 2001, a union and professional nursing association.
