Belmont Heights is a district in the southeastern city of Long Beach, California, United States, bordering the Pacific Ocean and the Belmont Shore commercial community. The district commemorates the old City of Belmont Heights, which was founded in 1908 and annexed to Long Beach in 1909. Belmont Heights's border is Ocean Boulevard and Livingston Drive to the south, Redondo Avenue to the west, 7th Street to the North, and Nieto Avenue to east. The area is mostly residential, but also has an active business district, the Broadway strip east of Redondo Avenue.

History
Belmont Heights Historic District includes homes between 7th Street to the north, 4th Street to the south, Newport Avenue to the west, and Roswell Avenue to the east. Some properties located on the 4th and 7th streets are included. The first environment was further divided and developed in the 1900s (decades). The oldest surviving house today dates from 1905. The dominant architectural style in the district is the Craftsman bungalow. Of the 304 homes surveyed, 206 were "contributing" to the Craftsman bungalow, and 125 of these were unchanged. Other architectural styles found in areas considered to contribute are the Victorian, Mediterranean and Spanish Colonial Revival, the Tudor and Neo-Traditional Awakening. The period of architectural significance for the district was 1905-39. Construction peaked in 1922. Most homes are one family, with several duplexes and some apartment houses. Thirty-seven houses surveyed were classified as "not contributing," or 13 percent. The district commemorates the old City of Belmont Heights, which was founded in 1908 and annexed to Long Beach in 1909.

Belmont Heights was incorporated as a city for a year before it was annexed to Long Beach in 1909. Long Beach at the time was a dry city, so people seeking alcohol would head to Heights for a drink at one of the bars.Famous citizen
- Clippers President Andy Roeser . He moved from the Valley in Quincy's 104th Tarzana to Belmont Shore and six years later moved to Belmont Heights. "I said to my wife, 'This is where I want to live It has everything I want - oceans, restaurants, shops.'" He is a member of the Long Beach Yacht Club and the Belmont Athletic Club. He can also be seen kites near Claremont and Ocean.
- Former Los Angeles Rams Marlin McKeever player. He is All-American twice in USC and pro 13 years. He died in 2006.
- Author and screenwriter Obie Scott Wade . Its production company, ObieCo Entertainment, Inc. located in historic and historic Elizabethan studios designed by renowned architect Joseph H. Roberts.

- Eliot Lane In 2003 residents in the streets sought historic designations to protect the look of 30 homes. The movement was started by homeowner Linda Becker Babiak whose family owns an eclectic "Eclectic Spain" house in Eliot Lane since 1925. His home is small - 600 to 900 square feet - and there are seven versions of the popular Revival or Craftsman Bungalow homes. in tracts, all built in 1923 by Boland & amp; Smith. For most of the street life it is called "Eliot Court" because it is designed to be pedestrian and intimate on a scale.
